Frequently Asked Questions (Swimming)

Who can register?

Boys and girls age 4+. Women‑only sessions are for girls 9 + and adult women. Coaches place swimmers into levels after a quick skill check.

I’ve never swam before. Can I still join?

Yes! Our program welcomes all skill levels—from beginners to advanced swimmers. We cater to women and girls of all ages and abilities.

Can parents watch?

Yes. Parents can observe from designated viewing areas.

For Women’s Only Sessions, only mothers may view their daughters from inside the pool area.

Please Note: Phones are strictly prohibited in the swimming pool area as per VIVO facility rules.

What should I bring?

Modest swimsuit, towel, goggles, and a refillable water bottle

Women’s sessions: Full-coverage or modest swimwear

Men’s sessions: Swim shirt and knee-length shorts (must cover from navel to knees)

Optional: Fins that fit you, available on Amazon or Decathlon. Our instructors will guide you on how to use them, especially if you're new.

Can one person book multiple swimmers?

Yes! Select the number of participants at booking; you’ll be prompted to add each swimmer’s details.

I want to book monthly, but the first session has already passed. Can I still get the monthly discount?

Monthly discounts apply only to participants who book before the first Sunday of the month. If you book after the first session, you can still choose your dates and reserve your spot for the rest of the month, but the per-session rate will apply.

Can women swim during their monthly cycles?

Absolutely. Many women find swimming helps relieve cramps and tension. You are not required to use any menstrual products while swimming. Please wear tight-fitting swimwear, and bring a towel and cover-up for added comfort as you exit the pool. If you have personal concerns, you’re welcome to speak privately with our female Head Coach at the pool.

Can men enter or view the pool during the Women’s Only Swim Sessions?

NO.

The facility is closed to the public during women’s sessions. Security locks all pool entry points, and the viewing areas are fully covered to ensure complete privacy.

Do participants receive a refund or credit if they miss a session due to illness?

While we do not offer automatic refunds or credits (in line with other institutions), we try to be understanding and flexible in emergencies. Please contact us to discuss a suitable solution.

I’m trying to book but it says there’s no space. What should I do?

If registration is full, you will automatically be added to the waitlist. The website may also update if new spots become available.

Can I bring my child (8 years or younger) to the Women’s Only Session?

On designated days, mothers may bring children aged 8 and under at no extra cost. These sessions will be announced on our website and communicated via the WhatsApp group. (Join the group chat).

Do low-income families receive any discounts?

At the moment, we offer monthly and student discounts for Al Ansaar, but no additional discounts. If more discounts become available, they will be posted on our website.

I had a per-session booking, but it was cancelled. Why?

Monthly registrations are given priority, and our system reserves spots for monthly participants first. If your booking was cancelled, it likely means the session became fully booked by monthly registrants. You’re welcome to try again next month, or we’ll notify you if a spot opens up due to a cancellation.

How do I reach the swimming pool?

Parking
You may park in either the East or West parking lots.

Entry & Check-in
Use the upstairs West Guest Services entrance.

Inform reception that you have a lane booking. The lane booking is under Al-Ansaar or Muhammad.

Facility Location
The pool is located downstairs, accessible through the changing rooms.

Can I give my spot to someone else?

If you are unable to attend your scheduled swim session, you may have a family member or friend attend in your place. Please email us at mbkswimaca@gmail.com in advance to arrange the substitution.
